Spring Event
The Civic Action Team and the U.S. Embassy will be hosting a college informational event to launch "PalauFutures" - an information-based website that consolidates U.S. college application resource available to Palauan high school and college students in a centralized and easily accessible location.
The event will be held at the Palau Royal Resort on Wednesday, February 8th from 5:30-8:00 pm. The program will begin promptly at 6:00 pm with an audience of educational stakeholders across all high schools.
The goal of "PalauFutures" is to offer a free online tool for both students and support communities that will help demystify the college search. Through this collaborative effort, we hope to build a diverse network committed to the development of youth who are the future of Palau.

Event Description
About the SAT
The SAT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to inform admissions decisions. The SAT is utilized as a standardized method of comparing all college applicants using one scoring system. The score is used to assess each applicant alongside other application deliverables such as school GPA, essays, and extracurricular activities. Although the level of emphasis placed on SAT scores by each school's admissions team varies, it is widely understood that more college options are available to students with higher scores.
