Application Process

Take Diagnostic Fitness Test
Each Military Service Academy requires applicants to submit fitness test scores. Students must understand where they are at in meeting or exceeding the average standards early.
Take SAT #1
Students take the test early to gain better familiarity and understand areas of improvement. Students continue to study throughout the year to improve their scores.
Take SAT #2
Students take again to measure progress.

Civilian College

Take Final SAT
Final alibis if student is trying to get a higher score necessary to be competitive.
Apply for Early Action
Usually receive acceptance status in December.
Apply for Early Decision
Usually receive acceptance status in December.
Apply for Regular Decision
Usually receive acceptance status in March or April.
Apply for Rolling Admission
Usually receive acceptance status within 4-6 weeks.

A: Some colleges require you to apply directly from their admissions site. You can apply to many colleges through the CommonApp.

Military College

Take Practice Fitness Test
Each Military Service Academy requires applicants to submit fitness test scores. Students take again to measure progress.
Take Final SAT
Final alibis if student is trying to get a higher score necessary to be competitive.
Identify Candidates
High school counselors contact U.S. Embassy on behalf of interested candidates and monitor updates on receiving the official invoice for each Service Academy.
Send Nomination Packets
High school counselors work with students to create a nomination packet that is then sent to the Minister of Education. Minister of Education will seek Presidential nomination for candidates.

Send Nominations
Presidential nominations from Minister of Education are sent to the U.S. Embassy. U.S. Embassy sends to each Service Academy. This is required for candidates to receive access to the application portals.
Receive Portals
Candidates need the portal from each Service Academy to complete and submit all application requirements.
Take Fitness Test for Record
Scores from this fitness test are uploaded as part of the candidate's application to each Service Academy.
Complete United States Naval Academy Application Portal
Deadline is typically around January 31st, but U.S. Embassy needs time to write the endorsement.
Complete United States Military Academy (West Point, Army) Application Portal
Deadline is typically around January 31s,t but U.S. Embassy needs time to write the endorsement.
Complete United States Coast Guard Academy Application Portal
Deadline is typically around February 1st, but U.S. Embassy needs time to write the endorsement.
Complete United States Air Force Academy Application Portal
Deadline is typically around March 15th, but U.S. Embassy needs time to write the endorsement.
Q: What should be included in the nomination packet?
A: Personal statement, resume, letters of recommendation from math and English teachers, principal and counselor nomination, SAT scores, transcript.
Q: Can students apply for more than one Service Academy?
A: Yes, students are encouraged to apply to all.
